Who I am

Singing with Charlotte provides singing, acting and performance tuition and is run by Charlotte de Quervain, based in Farnham, Surrey. I am the data controller for the personal information described below. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email charlottedequervain@gmail.com.

What I collect

When you contact me through the website, I collect your name, email address, phone number, what you are enquiring about and any message you send. When you book or buy lessons, I also collect the lesson length and package you choose and your booking dates.

Payments are handled securely by Stripe; I do not see or store your full card details. I use Google Calendar to schedule lessons.

Why I use it

I use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange a consultation, provide and schedule your lessons, and take payment. The lawful bases are your consent (which you give when you submit the contact form, and can withdraw at any time), and taking steps to enter into and perform a teaching arrangement with you.

Who I share it with

I only share your data with the services that help me run lessons: Stripe (payments) and Google (calendar and email). Each has its own privacy policy. I do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry and booking information only for as long as I need it to provide lessons and meet my legal and accounting obligations, and then delete it. You can ask me to delete your data sooner (see your rights below).

Children's data

I teach students from age 6. Where lessons are for someone under 18, a parent or guardian should make the enquiry and booking on the child's behalf and consents to their information being used for the purposes above.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can object to or restrict how I use it. To do any of these, email charlottedequervain@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
